Blue
Today is a very blue day, and I don't know why. The weather is lovely, I'm feelin pretty good, the boys have been behaving and I haven't had to do any challenging brain work. Maybe it's something in the air? I'm not sure. I'd like to throw myself a pity party, but then I would only feel guilty. Why should I complain when there are people in this world with no food? No warm clothes? No bed. When I'm in a mood like this that does not help me feel better, in fact it makes me more crabby. But it's something to think about.
I stopped and got myself a raspberry mocha on my way home. :) It does make one feel a tiny bit better. And also the maple cream bonbons I have been nibbling certainly don't hurt either. I think tonight I will make time to do something fun. Either papercrafting, or a good chick flick, or maybe I'll bake something fattening and yummy. In other words, something to make my day go faster so tomorrow will come. I think part of my crabbyness comes from the raise in my boyfriends hours at work which means- less time together. Which is, of course, why I take him lunch. I think I need to stop and be thankful he has a job, and steady work, in a good environment. Yes, I will try that. But I don't think it's bad to miss him. :) Enough rambling for now, hopefully any of you that are in this 'blue' state, find a way to overcome it. Pour your heart out to Jesus, and ask Him for the grace to get through your day. Because without Him we are nothing.

SnOw!!!!
Why am I excited for all this snow? I take the dog out and I sink up to my thighs, and lose the dog. Winter is most certainly not my favorite season, but there is something beautiful in a field of snow, or pine trees lightly dusted in white. I love making cookies and brownies, and making the house smell so tasty and Christmasy. This time of year every morning when I come downstairs I go throughout the whole house and plug in every set of twinkle lights that we have out. :) I love the cozy glow they give off, and it makes everything so warm and festive. I also 'cook' frequently...myself. I stand in front of the coal stove, and soak up the heat until I get so toasty that my pants are either going to combust, or I am going to melt, then I run and sit on the couch and practically burn my seat as I soak up that last bit of warmth. It's one of the best feelings in the world. :)
Today I'm hoping the wind will stop so Ben, Josiah, Ethan and I can all go play outside! I might lose one or two of them in the snow...but there's a whole field of snow just waiting to be played in! We can't let it go to waste!! I will most deffinately take pictures when we got out and I will post them some fine happy day... ;)
Have a happy (and warm) day in Jesus!!

Terrible Two's
The little man I watch, Ethan, is two, but no where near terrible. He has, however, learned the word 'NO!' and uses it most frequently. He runs through the living room, yelling at no-one in particular. 'NO! NO! NO!' I suppose if he were mine this would not be nearly as cute as I think it is, but that's ok, they dont stay little forever.

Baking
So today I caught a wiff of some early Christmas Spirit. :) I took advantage of that and proceeded to make Chocolate-Dipped Cranberry Cookies, and Caramel Popcorn Bars. Delicious. :) I absolutely love the holidays, I wish they lasted all year long. :)
